Stranger Things is back, and the response has been immediate. Season 5 opened with 59.6 million views in its first five days on Netflix, making it the biggest debut ever for an English-language series on the platform.
The final season returns to Hawkins with higher stakes and a familiar cast, bringing the story back to its roots while expanding the scope of the threat facing the town. Netflix released the first four episodes at once, which helped fuel early momentum and sent previous seasons back into the Top 10 as viewers caught up or rewatched from the beginning. With additional episodes set to release later in December, the series is expected to remain a major part of the streaming conversation as it moves toward its finale.
